There’s something I’ve started doing recently that I’m really loving, and that’s creating little photo walks for my couple shoots. It’s the perfect way to explore London together, discover some hidden gems, and come away with photos that feel relaxed, romantic, and completely “you.”
Last week, I met Brian and Ancilla for their session and what a gorgeous evening it turned out to be.
We started in Holland Park, a spot I always adore for its mix of greenery, quiet corners, and soft light. From there, we wandered towards Notting Hill, stopping off at some of my favourite little mews streets:
- Holland Park Mews,
- Codrington Mews,
- Saint Luke’s Mews (made famous by Andrew Lincoln in Love Actually, obsessed).

What made this shoot extra special wasn’t just the locations though it was Brian and Ancilla themselves. They’ve actually known each other since they were nine, which I think is pretty incredible. Ancilla had just wrapped up her dissertation (huge moment!), so she was in that joyful, celebratory mood already looking forward to a Guinness with friends after our shoot and Brian? He was so wonderfully supportive and relaxed, the kind of person who makes you feel like everything’s going to be just fine.
As we walked, chatted, and stopped for photos, it felt less like a shoot and more like hanging out together, soaking up the charm of London’s prettiest streets.
If you’ve been thinking about booking a couple shoot in London, this is your sign. It doesn’t have to feel staged or formal we can make it a walk, an adventure, a memory in itself and at the end of it, you’ll have photos that capture you exactly as you are. Enquire here and let’s talk!
